Slightly more high mids and a bit less low end thump. Both are great amps, but I've never heard any 5150 or 6534 do a good brown sound. Hell, even when Eddie was with Peavey it wasn't a brown sound.

It's just that the 5150/6505 was designed to be a 6L6 amp, so that's all they biased it for. It's not supposed to be a hugely versatile amp anyway.
